Geography Teacher

Location: Hull
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: February 2026 or sooner

GSL Education are recruiting a knowledgeable Geography Teacher for a secondary school in Hull.

This inclusive secondary school provides a broad and balanced curriculum designed to help pupils understand the world around them. The Humanities department encourages critical thinking, geographical awareness and engagement with global issues through interactive lessons and fieldwork opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan lessons aligned with curriculum objectives

  • Encourage analytical thinking and geographical enquiry

  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly

  • Prepare pupils for GCSE assessments

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Geography in a secondary setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding

  • Ability to engage pupils in global and environmental topics

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
