SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney (3 miles max)
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help implement effective strategies that promote meaningful progress and create a positive learning experience for every child. This is a highly rewarding role where your support can make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support based on individual student needs.
- Assist in delivering and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Encourage student confidence, independence, and social interaction.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEN team to ensure an inclusive classroom environment.
- Support behaviour management and contribute to pupils’ emotional well-being.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to learning support.
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to work across different settings.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
