Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Payrate: £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
Are you a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor ready to support young people in overcoming behavioural challenges?
Schools in Dinnington (S25) and GSL Education are looking for a motivated Behaviour Mentor to provide consistent behavioural and pastoral support.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may struggle with emotional regulation, conduct, or engagement in learning. You will build positive relationships and help create a calm, structured environment that promotes accountability and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour mentoring.
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management within the classroom and around school.
- Be willing to implement physical and verbal de-escalation when required (full training provided).
- Support pupils in developing coping strategies and positive decision-making skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams to follow behaviour plans.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in behaviour support or mentoring roles.
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
- Confident in managing challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- A patient, consistent, and resilient approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
