Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher looking to support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs?

Schools in Dinnington (S25) and GSL Education are seeking an experienced Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher to deliver engaging and supportive lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

As a SEMH Teacher, you will create a safe and structured learning environment where students with emotional and behavioural challenges can engage positively with education. You will plan and deliver lessons that support academic progress while promoting emotional wellbeing and confidence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured and supportive SEMH-focused lessons.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
  • Manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation and social skills
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, and support staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEMH or additional needs pupils.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom control skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient teaching approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
