About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes, maintaining high standards of behaviour, and supporting students’ learning in line with planned lessons. This role is essential in ensuring continuity of education and helping students achieve their potential while teachers are absent.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in the classroom, maintaining a safe and structured environment.
- Follow lesson plans and school policies to deliver consistent learning experiences.
- Manage student behaviour effectively and promote positive engagement.
- Support students with tasks, activities, and independent work as required.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and student engagement.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of attendance, behaviour, and activities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a classroom support or teaching role is preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage student behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
- Adaptable, reliable, and confident in supporting lessons across multiple subjects.
- A proactive and professional approach to classroom supervision.
