Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them engage with learning and achieve their goals. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to implement strategies and interventions tailored to individual students’ needs.
Responsibilities:
• Implement personalised support plans to meet the unique needs of each student, promoting independence and growth.
• Assist with classroom activities and learning tasks to ensure student engagement.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters trust and confidence.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with personal care, hygiene, and daily routines where necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.
• Use effective communication strategies to encourage participation and development in all activities.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, or similar role is preferred.
• Understanding of SEN needs and evidence-based support strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students and classroom dynamics.
• A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
