About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will foster a love for literature and language, encourage critical thinking, and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students across varying abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and active learning.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations and internal assessments.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
• Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Specialism in English Language and/or English Literature.
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A commitment to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
