Job Title: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary Focus

Salary: £460 – £600 per week

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant with a secondary focus, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to provide targeted support across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will assist students in both classroom and small-group settings, helping to raise attainment, build confidence, and promote positive engagement with learning.

Responsibilities:
• Support students within lessons across a range of secondary subjects, ensuring they remain engaged and on task.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives and close attainment gaps.
• Assist teachers in preparing classroom resources and adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
• Provide pastoral support to help students develop confidence, resilience, and independence.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students in a school or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
