Upper KS2 Class Teacher – Maternity Cover
Oldham - After Easter
Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Maternity Cover (Until End of Academic Year – Potential Extension)
GSL Education Manchester is delighted to be working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ primary school in Oldham, currently seeking an experienced and confident Upper KS2 Teacher to join their team after Easter to cover a maternity leave.
This is a full-time role teaching Year 5 initially through to SATs, with the potential to transition into Year 6 teaching responsibilities following the SATs period.

About the Role:

Teach a settled Year 5 class through to the SATs period

Potentially transition to supporting or leading Year 6 following SATs

Deliver high-quality lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum

Track and monitor pupil progress effectively

Work closely with the phase team and SLT

Prepare pupils for end-of-year expectations and transition
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Recent experience teaching in Upper KS2
-
Strong understanding of curriculum progression and assessment
-
Confidence supporting pupils during the SATs period

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

A proactive, reflective and collaborative approach
