Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a confident and compassionate Behaviour Support/Mentor ready to guide students towards positive change?

Schools in Sheffield (S2, S3) and GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support/Mentor to provide consistent behavioural and pastoral support.

As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may struggle with behaviour, emotional regulation, or engagement in learning. You will act as a positive role model, helping students develop coping strategies, improve conduct, and build confidence within a structured school environment.

Responsibilities of Behaviour Support/Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and intervention plans.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils.
  • Support students during lessons and unstructured times.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in behaviour support, mentoring, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
  • A calm, consistent, and patient approach.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
