Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs?

Schools in Sheffield (S2, S3) and GSL Education are searching for a committed Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to provide tailored academic and pastoral support.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop independence. You will support teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and ensure students feel safe, valued, and understood.

Key Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group SEN support.
  • Assist in implementing individual education and support plans.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet specific needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN pupils in a school setting.
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding practices.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
