Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teacher to work in schools across the S2 and S3 areas of Sheffield.

As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will provide structured, nurturing teaching tailored to pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support, helping them re-engage with learning and build confidence.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons suited to individual SEMH needs.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised plans.
  • Create a calm, consistent, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor academic and emotional progress closely.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external agencies.

Requirements of SEMH Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
