Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Provide focused, individualised support that helps pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential!
GSL Education are hiring a skilled 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield, covering the S2 and S3 areas. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with a designated student, supporting their academic progress, behaviour, and overall wellbeing within the classroom.
Core Responsibilities of 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 support in line with the student’s learning plan.
- Adapt classroom activities and resources to meet individual needs.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation.
- Support social and emotional development throughout the school day.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to monitor progress.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and consistent approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of SEN and inclusive practice is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
