Job Title: Graduate Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £100 – £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

We are looking for confident and adaptable Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Newcastle.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will step into the classroom to supervise students during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring learning continues in a structured and positive environment. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching.
What you have to as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise whole classes using pre-set lesson plans
- Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide support and guidance to students where needed
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Assist with general school duties as required
- Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Requirements needed to be a Graduate Cover Supervisor:
- A recent graduate with a degree in any subject like Psychology, Social Care, SEN, Education, Sports, Science etc.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence managing groups of young people
- A genuine interest in working within education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
