Job Title: Motor Vehicle Tutor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £100 – £140 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term | 5 days per week

Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle professional with a passion for teaching and developing the next generation of technicians?

GSL Education are seeking a skilled and reliable Motor Vehicle Tutor to deliver high-quality vocational training in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a full-time role requiring availability 5 days per week.

 

About the Role:

As a Motor Vehicle Tutor, you will deliver practical and theory-based sessions up to Level 2, supporting learners in developing the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required for progression within the automotive industry. You will play a key role in engaging learners and preparing them for further training or employment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver Motor Vehicle sessions up to Level 2

  • Provide both workshop-based practical training and classroom theory

  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain a safe and structured workshop environment

  • Support learners with varying abilities and learning needs

  • Work collaboratively with training staff and support teams

  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies

 

Requirements:

  • Proven tutoring experience up to Level 2 (essential)

  • Previous employment within the Motor Vehicle sector (essential)

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and workshop practices

  • Confident classroom and workshop management skills

  • Ability to commit to 5 days per week

  • Reliable, professional, and committed to learner success

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
