Behaviour Mentor (SEMH)

Location: Birmingham (B12)
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Temp to Perm for the right candidate
Start Date: Immediate

Do you have strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting students with SEMH needs?

GSL Education are recruiting a Behaviour Mentor (SEMH) for a specialist setting in Birmingham (B12). This role requires confidence, resilience and the ability to build positive, consistent relationships with students who may struggle in mainstream environments.

About the Role

You will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, delivering targeted behaviour interventions and supporting emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised behaviour support

• Support de-escalation and emotional regulation

• Build trusting relationships with vulnerable students

• Monitor progress and report to staff and parents

• Promote a safe, structured learning environment

Requirements

• Experience with challenging behaviour is essential

• SEMH or alternative provision experience desirable

• Excellent communication skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
