Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you a supportive and proactive Behaviour Support/Mentor who can guide students towards positive choices?
Schools in Wakefield (WF4) and GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support/Mentor to provide consistent pastoral and behavioural support.
As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who may face challenges with behaviour, engagement, or emotional regulation. You will act as a positive role model, helping students build confidence, improve behaviour, and develop strategies to succeed in school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring support.
- Implement behaviour strategies and support plans.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams.
- Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and independence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in behaviour support, mentoring, or a similar role.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
