Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work within supportive school settings in the WF4 area of Wakefield.

As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.

Key Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals.

Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistants:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
