Job Title: Pastoral Manager
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are searching for an experienced Pastoral Manager to join a school in Wakefield (WF4), working closely with staff, pupils, and families to promote good attendance, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing.
As Pastoral Manager, you will take an active part in supporting students who require additional pastoral guidance, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop positive attitudes towards school life.
Responsibilities of Pastoral Manager:
- Monitor and support pupil behaviour, attendance, and welfare
- Provide mentoring and pastoral guidance where needed
- Work alongside teaching staff to support student progress and wellbeing
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies when appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
What we are looking for:
- Experience working in a pastoral, mentoring, or student support role
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organisational skills
- A calm, supportive, and professional approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
