Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Provide dedicated support to individual students and help them build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits in a supportive school environment!
GSL Education are hiring a caring and patient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Wakefield, covering the WF4 area. The 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA) will support a specific student with their learning, wellbeing, and classroom engagement under the guidance of teaching staff.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a designated student.
- Assist in delivering learning activities and adapting resources where required.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in lessons.
- Support the student’s social, emotional, and academic development.
- Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times.
Requirements of 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Patient, supportive, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of inclusive education and SEN support is desirable.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
