Job Title: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time 

Are you a patient and resilient Behaviour Support Staff member who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning?

Schools in Wakefield (WF4) and GSLEducation are looking for a motivated Behaviour Support Staff member to provide consistent emotional and behavioural guidance to students.

As Behaviour Support Staff, you will work closely with pupils who may need help managing emotions, improving classroom engagement, and developing positive behaviour strategies. You will support learning by promoting a calm, structured, and encouraging environment throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Assist in implementing behaviour support plans.
  • Work alongside teachers and pastoral teams.
  • Encourage positive learning attitudes and independence.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in behaviour or support-based roles.
  • Strong de-escalation and communication skills.
  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach to working with young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.
