Salary: £460–£600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students to provide tailored support that enhances their learning, engagement, and personal development. You will contribute to a positive and structured environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement personalised learning plans and support strategies tailored to the unique needs of each student, fostering independence and personal growth.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive environment that builds trust and positive relationships with students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary staff to provide comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, activities, and interventions.
  • Assist with personal care, hygiene, and eating when required, upholding dignity and respect.
  • Support students’ engagement with learning activities using effective communication techniques.
  • Contribute to behaviour management and the promotion of positive social interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEMH Support Worker, or similar role is preferred.
  • Understanding of SEMH needs and evidence-based support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting student development.
