Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students in accessing the curriculum, developing key skills, and building confidence. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individual learning strategies, provide additional support where needed, and help create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning plans and activities tailored to each student’s needs.
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages engagement and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and activities in line with school policies.
- Assist with personal care and daily routines where required, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Encourage participation in classroom activities and promote positive behaviour using effective communication strategies.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of special educational needs and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of students and classroom situations.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
