Job Title: English Teacher – Long-Term Supply
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £160 – £220 per day, depending on experience
Contract Type: Long-term supply

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, fostering confidence, literacy, and a love of language. You’ll be working in a dynamic school environment where high expectations and strong behaviour management are key, and where your efforts will directly contribute to student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and differentiated English lessons in line with the national curriculum

Teach a range of English skills, including reading, writing, analysis, and communication

Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Support extracurricular activities and literacy initiatives where possible

Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and develop teaching resources
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally in challenging school settings

Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in the face of a demanding environment
