Maths Teacher

Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time, Day-to-day / Long-term

This Maths Teacher role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality mathematics education and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

As a Maths Teacher, you’ll be expected to:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are engaging and appropriately challenging.
  • Prepare lesson materials, mark work, and assess student progress effectively.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
  • Track student achievement and implement strategies to raise attainment.
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to support academic progress.
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
  • Adhere to safeguarding, curriculum, and assessment policies at all times.

In order to be considered for the Teacher of Maths role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths in schools.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach confidently across Key Stages.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Meet GSL’s safer recruitment background checks.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
