Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you an engaging and knowledgeable History Teacher who can bring the past to life for students?
Schools in Sheffield (S11) and GSL Education are searching for an experienced History Teacher to deliver well-planned and stimulating lessons.
As a History Teacher, you will encourage students to explore key historical events, develop critical thinking skills, and understand how the past shapes the present. You will create a positive classroom environment where discussion, analysis, and independent learning are promoted.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured history lessons.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly.
- Encourage debate, analysis, and source evaluation.
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
- Maintain strong classroom behaviour and expectations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching History in a school setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Good communication and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
