About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons that meet the individual needs of students, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, structured learning environment and ensuring students achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised lesson plans and interventions tailored to the needs of SEMH students.
- Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behaviour.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
- Support students in developing social skills, emotional resilience, and academic confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of student activities, interventions, and outcomes.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the dynamic needs of the students.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or similar needs is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to plan differentiated lessons and adapt teaching to individual abilities.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student well-being and development.
