Schools across Sheffield recognise the strong leadership, discipline, and behaviour management skills developed through sports-based roles and are keen to welcome professionals like you into the classroom.

We are recruiting enthusiastic and confident individuals from sports and coaching backgrounds to work in schools as Teaching Assistants and Cover Supervisors. Staff work collaboratively to ensure a focused and respectful learning environment where every student can succeed.

About the Role:
Based on the needs of the school, you will either support teachers during lessons as a Teaching Assistant or confidently lead classes as a Cover Supervisor in the teacher’s absence. • Supervise whole classes and deliver pre-set work when required
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Encourage teamwork, resilience, and active participation

Requirements:
• Background in Sports Coaching, Personal Training, or a similar field
• Experience working with young people is advantageous but not essential
• Confidence managing groups and maintaining authority
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude

Why Apply?
