Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Do you enjoy teaching Geography and helping students understand the world around them?
GSL Education are hiring an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to work with schools across Sheffield, including the S5 and S9 areas, supporting students to develop their knowledge of both human and physical geography.
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage curiosity about global issues, environments, and communities, while creating a positive classroom atmosphere where every student can achieve their best.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-planned Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach topics such as physical landscapes, climate, population, and global development.
- Encourage critical thinking and discussion about current world issues.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support effective curriculum delivery.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a Geography Teacher in a secondary school setting.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
