Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a knowledgeable and committed History Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield, covering the S5 and S9 areas. The History Teacher will deliver well-planned lessons that strengthen analytical thinking, source evaluation, and structured written responses across key stages.
Responsibilities of History Teacher:
- Plan and teach engaging history lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Encourage debate, critical thinking, and independent enquiry.
- Support students of varying abilities through differentiated instruction.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic progress.
- Assess work regularly and provide clear, developmental feedback.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching history in a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
