Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you a creative and practical Design Technology Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of designers and innovators?

Schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) and GSL Education are seeking a skilled Design Technology Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons.

As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will encourage students to develop practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity through a range of design and manufacturing projects. You will create a safe and structured learning environment where students can confidently explore materials, tools, and technical processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver practical, well-structured DT lessons.
  • Teach safe use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
  • Support students in developing creative design ideas.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and workshop safety.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Good organisational and communication abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
