Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are looking for a passionate Art Teacher to join a school in Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and artistic exploration.

In this role, the Art Teacher will plan and deliver structured art lessons, supporting learners to experiment with different techniques, materials, and visual ideas within a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities of Art Teacher:

  • Delivering well-planned Art lessons in line with curriculum expectations
  • Encouraging creativity, experimentation, and artistic development
  • Supporting learners to build confidence in expressing ideas visually
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and inspiring classroom atmosphere
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Art in a school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
