Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are pleased to recruit an experienced Design Technology Teacher for schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley.

As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop pupils’ technical knowledge, design skills, and problem-solving ability within a safe workshop environment.

Key Duties:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach practical skills, product design, and material understanding.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inclusive learning space.
  • Support departmental projects and enrichment activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as a Design Technology Teacher in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and practical teaching skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
