Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Encourage students to question, analyse, and understand the events that have shaped society through engaging and thought-provoking lessons!
GSL Education are searching a passionate History Teacher to join schools in Sheffield, covering the S2 and S3 areas. The History Teacher will deliver well-structured lessons that develop critical thinking, source analysis skills, and a strong understanding of historical context.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality history lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage debate, enquiry, and independent research.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
- Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
Requirements of History Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience teaching history in a school setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
