Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a talented Design Technology Teacher to join a school in Sheffield (S2, S3), delivering engaging lessons that develop technical knowledge, creativity, and hands-on skills.

In this role, the Design Technology (DT) Teacher will plan and deliver structured lessons across a range of design disciplines, encouraging learners to think critically, solve problems, and work safely with tools and materials.

What the role involves:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum
  • Teach practical skills using a variety of materials, tools, and technologies
  • Promote creativity, innovation, and independent thinking
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and productive workshop environment
  • Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback as Design Technology Teacher

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
