MFL Teacher

Location: Hackney
Salary: £165–£265 per day
Start Date: 6th March 2026
Contract: Long Term Cover until 27th March 2026

GSL Education London Branch is excited to be recruiting an experienced and passionate MFL Teacher (French & Spanish) to join a friendly and supportive co-educational secondary school with a thriving Sixth Form in Hackney.

As an MFL Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality French and Spanish lessons and supporting students to reach their full potential. This MFL Teacher role is ideal for someone who is confident, organised, and passionate about modern foreign languages. 

Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher

  • Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons to KS3 & KS4
  • Support students’ progress and achievement in line with the curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess, mark, and give clear feedback to students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Work closely with colleagues and the MFL department.
  • Take part in school activities and meetings when required.

Requirements for the MFL Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish in UK secondary schools.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
  • Right to work in the UK.
