Payrate: £100+ per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant (Primary) to work within a school in Dinnington (S25), providing tailored support to children who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance.
In this role, the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA -Primary) will work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to help pupils regulate emotions, build positive relationships, and access learning in a structured and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of SEMH Teaching Assistant (Primary):
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist in implementing individual support and behaviour plans
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional development
- Help pupils engage with classroom activities and routines
- Maintain clear communication with staff regarding progress and wellbeing
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
