Job Title: Level 3 Learning Assistant
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time | Part-time | Long-term & Day-to-day

Are you an experienced and motivated Learning Assistant looking to support pupils in achieving their full potential?

GSL Education are seeking Level 3 Learning Assistants to work across primary, secondary, and specialist schools in Stockton-on-Tees. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to provide focused support to pupils with a range of learning, behavioural, and additional needs.

About the Role:

As a Level 3 Learning Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils’ academic progress and personal development. You will help deliver tailored learning activities, provide 1:1 or small group support, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to pupils

  • Assist with lesson delivery and classroom activities

  • Support pupils with learning, behavioural, or additional needs

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to monitor pupil progress

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

  • Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning, or equivalent experience

  • Experience supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs

  • Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to motivate and support pupils of varying abilities

  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
