Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistants
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs to feel confident, safe, and ready to engage with learning!
GSL Education are looking for experienced SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in a school in Dinnington (S25), providing vital classroom and personal support to pupils who require additional guidance.
In this role, the Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them develop positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and learning independence.
Mian duties of SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Assist pupils in accessing classroom activities
- Help implement behaviour and learning support strategies
- Contribute to maintaining a calm and structured environment
What we are looking for:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
