About the Role:
As a SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons and interventions to support students’ learning and personal development. You will provide a positive, structured classroom environment and work closely with colleagues to ensure students’ holistic progress.
Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised lesson plans and interventions tailored to the unique needs of each student, fostering independence and growth.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment that builds trust and rapport with students.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, support staff, and leaders, to provide comprehensive student support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour, and engagement.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their academic and personal goals.
- Promote positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation within the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience is preferred.
- Previous experience supporting students with SEMH needs is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt lessons and strategies to meet the dynamic needs of learners.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting students’ holistic development.
