About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons, encourage student participation, and support academic progress. You will contribute to a positive learning environment where students can develop their knowledge, skills, and curiosity about the world.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons tailored to the curriculum and student ability.
- Support students’ learning and understanding through interactive teaching strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of individual students and groups.
- Maintain accurate records of student attainment, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience preferred.
- Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3/4 is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and engage students.
- Adaptable and creative approach to lesson planning and delivery.
