About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pre-set work is completed and classroom expectations are maintained. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals seeking flexible opportunities within a school setting.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and conduct.
• Support students with questions related to the set work where appropriate.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading a class and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Adaptability and the ability to work across different subjects and year groups.
• A proactive, organised, and reliable approach to work.
