SEN & Behaviour Support Roles – Ex-Forces
Location: Middlesbrough & Surrounding Areas (Teesside)
Pay: £90–£120 per day
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
Opportunities: Long-term & Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: March 2026

We are currently recruiting for SEN & Behaviour Support staff to work in Alternative Provisions, PRUs and specialist SEN schools supporting pupils aged 7–16.
About the Pupils
You’ll be supporting young people with:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Behaviours that challenge or exclusion from mainstream school
- Autism, ADHD and other neurodiverse needs
- Trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and attachment difficulties
These settings need calm, consistent adults who can build trust and boundaries.
What the Role Involves
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Helping students re-engage with learning
- Acting as a positive role model
- Supporting behaviour regulation in a calm and structured way
- Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams
- Supporting sport, outdoor learning or vocational activities
Ideal Backgrounds
We welcome applicants with experience in:
- Armed Forces (Army, RAF, Royal Navy)
- Police or security services
- Prison, probation or youth justice
- Youth work or mentoring
- Roles involving safeguarding, structure or behaviour management
