Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time
Are you confident supporting young people to make positive choices and overcome barriers to learning?
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support/Mentor to work within a setting in Wakefield (WF4), helping learners develop confidence, resilience, and improved behaviour for learning.
As Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will provide targeted support to pupils who require additional guidance, building strong relationships and promoting strategies that encourage engagement and emotional regulation.
What you’ll be doing as Behaviour Support/Mentor:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions
- Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies
- Help pupils develop social and emotional skills
- Work closely with staff and families to promote positive outcomes
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate records
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- A patient, consistent, and proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
