About the Role:
As a Geography Teacher, you will plan and deliver lessons in line with the curriculum, encourage enquiry-based learning, and support students’ progress across key stages. You will create a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment, helping learners develop essential geographical knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons for a range of abilities.
• Encourage student curiosity through enquiry-based and practical learning activities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support.
• Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment.
• Adapt lessons and resources to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources, lesson plans, and interventions.
• Maintain accurate records of student attainment, attendance, and behaviour.
Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3/4 is preferred.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning abilities.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach to lesson planning and delivery.
