About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that pre-set work is completed and classroom expectations are maintained. You will play a vital role in supporting student engagement and maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials in line with school policies and procedures.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and productive environment.
• Provide clear instructions and support to students where required.
• Report back to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the well-being of all students.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence in leading a classroom independently.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to work.
