About the Role:
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), promoting a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and encouraging analytical thinking. You will play a key role in raising attainment and fostering a positive attitude towards mathematics.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons that engage and challenge students of varying abilities.
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum and school policies.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their best.
