About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages, supporting students in developing strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills. You will play a vital role in raising attainment, preparing students for examinations, and nurturing confidence in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and high expectations.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations and internal assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and attainment.

Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
