Are you ready to make a real difference in young people’s lives? GSL Education is recruiting a Learning Mentor for a rapidly growing SEN school in Plymouth. This is a unique opportunity to join a school that offers students aged 5–16 with SEMH,SEN, ADHD and other complex behavioural needs the support they need to thrive, both academically and personally. This school is part of a wider trust who have multiple sites in Plymouth!

This provision is the only one in the area offering a wide range of qualifications, giving students the best chance to succeed and prepare for life beyond school. They pride themselves on combining classroom support with practical, activity-based learning, including offsite sports, outdoor learning, and community projects, so no two days are the same!

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in schools, youth work, sports coaching, or any role with transferable skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, offering consistency and encouragement
  • A proactive, patient, and flexible approach, with a passion for supporting students with SEMH or SEN needs
  • Enthusiasm to get involved in offsite activities, sports, and local community projects
  • Those who have a UK Driving license and own car and are happy to use this for business purposes
