Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rotherham (S25)
Salary: £460 - £600 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential skills. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both academic achievement and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
- Implement personalised learning and care plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Support students in the classroom to engage with lessons and complete tasks successfully.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages trust and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, activities, and interventions.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, and eating where necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.
- Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural development through positive interactions and guidance.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Understanding of SEN conditions and evidence-based support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the varying needs of students with SEN.
- A patient, compassionate, and encouraging approach to supporting learners.
